Proceso de compra

Una vez que hayas realizado tu compra en nuestra tienda recibimos una notificación automática, por lo que no es necesario que realices notificación alguna. Una vez verificada la compra crearemos tu cuenta en la página de SDL en https://oos.sdl.com la cuenta será creada con tu correo electrónico como usuario y recibirás un correo automático desde ese sistema con tu contraseña. Si por alguna razón no recibes el correo con tu contraseña revisa tu folder de spam y si no lo encuentras simplemente ve a https://oos.sdl.com y selecciona la opción que indica que olvidaste tu contraseña (Don’t remember your password).

Con esto podrás tener acceso a tu cuenta, no obstante, si ya tenías una cuenta creada con el correo que nos proporcionaste tendremos que pedir permiso para tener acceso a tu cuenta y posiblemente necesitemos que entres a la misma para también autorizarlo. El proceso completo tiene una duración máxima de 24 horas hábiles (aunque dependiendo del horario puedo tomar sólo unos minutos). Babel DGT considera horas hábiles de las 8 am a las 6 pm de lunes a viernes (horario del centro de México huso horario -6).

Si compraste un curso junto con tu licencia, recibirás un correo del encargado de capacitación en el mismo lapso de 24 horas hábiles para agendar tus sesiones. Por favor toma en cuenta lo siguiente:

  • LEE con mucho cuidado los correos que recibas al respecto.
  • Por favor toma en cuenta que para tu curso DEBES estar en un amibente de silencio (evita cafeterías o centros comerciales) tu instructor no será responsable si no lo puedes escuchar debido al ruido ambiental.
  • ES MUY IMPORTANTE que uses una diadema, los audífonos de celular, el micrófono integrado en la computadora y las bocinas integradas de la computadora NO funcionan ya que admiten muchísimo ruido ambiental o en el caso de los primeros no son compatibles con muchas PC.
  • Si tuviste un imprevisto y necesitas reagendar tu curso esto podrá hacerse sólo 1 vez y debe suceder a más tardar 2 horas antes de inicar tu curso.
  • Recibirás un coreeo diferente para cada sesión no los confundas.
  • No compartas archivos del curso con otros colegas que lo hayan tomado ya que no podrán funcionar para el tuyo, descarga los que se crearon especialmente para ti.
  • Tienes 365 días naturales a partir de la fecha de tu compra para agendar tu curso, despúes de ese tiempo no habrá posibilidad de reagendar o reembolsos.

Network connection

Which port allows communication between the client computer and the license server?To enable communication with the license server, open port UDP 5093 on the computer where the SDL product is installed.Can I change the default port number?Yes. To change the default port number, open the Safenet License Manager application (WlmAdmin.exe) and go to Edit > Preferences > Server Port.What information do client users need for connecting to the license server?To connect to the license server manager and activate an SDL product with a network license, the client users need the short computer name, the fully qualified address (less than 40 characters) or the IP address of the license server. Activating the license server manager

Can I split my network license to be used on different servers?

Yes, when activating online, you have to specify the number of activations that you wish to use. Once activated, you can then activate the remaining number of activations on your second server.

For offline activation, you can still specify number of users, but you would do this through the License section of your SDL Account.

Serving and monitoring licenses

Can I see how many licenses are in use and who checked them out?Yes. For instructions on checking who is using your network license seats, see Monitoring Clients and Licensing Information.What happens if the running client loses connection to the license server?The SDL product shows the Product Activation dialog and requires the client to restore the connection or exit the application.Can I withdraw a license from a specific user?No. To free up a license seat, ask the client user to return the network license seat. For more information, see Disconnecting from the license server.What is the timeout for idle license seats?If there is no activity detected from the SDL product for more than 5 minutes, the license seat is automatically returned to the license pool. This is to avoid licenses being stranded on a client computer after a crash, a power failure or a connection problem.Am I able to borrow all the purchased license seats?You will not be able to borrow the last license seat available on the network license. This is because connecting to the server in order to borrow a license already requires a license seat. Borrowing is not possible without an available license seat. The seat required for the connection is returned back to the license pool immediately after the server grants the borrowed license.Do I need access to the licensing server in order to return a borrowed license?No, once the borrowing limit is reached, the license is automatically returned to the server.

No es posible reinstalar o actualizar Studio

The following error message appears when you are trying to install SDL Trados Studio 2017/ 2019:

Setup detected a higher version of this product already installed. If you still wish to install this version, you must remove the other version first.

Root Cause

Remove suite of products version is higher than the installer version .
The issue might be caused by an incorrect uninstall of the product (right clicking on the product and selecting «Uninstall» instead of using the «Remove suite of products» option from Control Panel > Programs and Features).
This is logged as a bug for SDL Development under CRQ-11541

Resolution

1.Perform a manual installation: Install the main components of Studio

No funciona mi vista previa

En algunos casos hemos tenido usuarios que no pueden hacer vista previa del documento, esto se puede deber a varias razones, pero casi siempre tiene que ver con la versión de Word que se tiene instalada. Primero que nada es importante que tengas una versión legal y actualizada de Office, después conviene revisar los tipos de archivo en Studio. Es importante que el filtro de la última versión de Word esté seleccionado, o tener la versión Profesional de Word instalada con el instalador MSI (si hiciste una instalación web deberá seguir estas instrucciones ya que Microsoft no permite pasar a Word las cosas en versiones anteriores).
